A Girl Needs Shoes

Aren't these shoes the most precious thing you have ever seen? Regardless of the fact that there were tears shed over the wearing of these shoes (Evelyn's, not mine), I have to say that I love everything about these tiny shoes...the pink color, the satin bows, the fact that someone created ballerina flats for a newborn.

The above picture was one of 108 that I shot yesterday attempting to get a usable picture for birth announcements. The photo shoot was a success....so much so that I am now scouring the Internet to find cheap birth announcements that allow you to use more than one image. Not an easy task, my friend, especially considering I refuse to pay $2.00 or more per announcement. I want people to know about our new baby girl...but not for two bucks a card.

I will post more pictures from yesterday's photo shoot once I decide on exactly which pictures are announcement worthy (and find cheap birth announcements....any suggestions?). Until then, I will let you share in the preciousness that is newborn ballerina slippers....

Precious! I used Costco for both my kids announcements. $15.99 for the first 50 and then $5.99 for each 25 after that. Hey, we're on a budget.

I highly recommend mykindacard.com

I used her for Nolan's announcements. She went up in price a little since then, but she does really pretty work. And she was quick! I paid $1 per 5x7 card, but I think she is $1.19 a card now. She does multiple pics and designs the card for you based on ideas from her website, emails it to you, if you don't like, just let her know and she will make adjustments.

Look at you little photographer! Love how you used the natural light. Can you work around photoshop? That is a great way to create exactly what you want.
Love the pic. Emaline had those sweet shoes!

Have you tried shutterfly.com? They are having a 20% off sale on cards through June 7th (range of 55 to 39cents per card depending on quantity ordered). I think you can use up to 9 different photos. I've always been happy with the quality of my orders.
I enjoy reading your blog! Keep up the great work!
