Give-Away: Address Book Edition

In the six years I was in college (four in undergrad, two in graduate school) and in the first two years of marriage, I moved a lot. My phone number changed multiple times, my address changed, and even my zip code was altered quite a bit during those years. After such moves, my poor mother would always pull out her address book, cross out the old phone number, and pencil in my new contact information. I think one of the reasons she was glad that I got married was that she could start updating my address and phone numbers on a new letter of the alphabet.

Fortunately I think her address book may have recovered considering the fact the husband and I have lived in the same place for seven years now.

Just in case one of you owns an address book filled with jumbled scribbles and tattered pages, I am giving away a new address book by Parents magazine. This feisty orange book is a great place to house all of one's important address and phone numbers. It is small enough to fit inside a bag or to store in the car (although I never advocate talking on the phone and driving. I am just saying.). The address book also comes with a one year subscription to Parents magazine.

For a chance to win this great address book, leave a comment and let me know how many moves you have made over the last ten years. Winners will be drawn randomly on Saturday morning. Again, feel free to enter as many as these give-aways as you want this week. Comments close Friday evening.

Good Luck!

My address book is definitely suffering for that reason, but who am I to complain since I have moved 7 times in the last 10 years. Yes, that is a LOT of packing and unpacking...and here I am in the midst of it all over again. And in a year will be doing it again!!!! Please enter me in the contest!

Let's see in ten years there have been a few moves for the Hale Household as well! It all started in the "alley shack at ACU, then onto an apartment in Ft. Worth, then the house we bought in Ft. Worth, then a rent house in H-town, then the first small house we bought in H-town, and now the house we are in now!... Not too bad I guess!

I could use the new address book though for my moves and those of family members who wont be named :)

Ok, let's see. We have been in GV for 10 years, two in an apartment and one in our house. Then prior to that we moved into a teeny apartment in Bryan right after marriage for my last year at A&M, so that is only 3! If we went into the first 3 years of college, I would have 3 more! :)

I have moved 10 times in ten years.....holy moly. My question for you, the mommy blog pro is: how do all you mommy bloggers get these free giveaways? Do vendors find you and ask you to promote their stuff on your blog? I've always wondered :).....

I would love to win a new address book! Over the past 10 years, I've moved 4 times (New Jersey to Germany to Alabama to Georgia to Maryland.) And since we're a military family, our military friends move quite frequently as well, so my current address book has lots of cross-outs!

I "heart" address books, but I am currently keeping my addresses updated on notebook paper (too many address changes demolished my old book). I have moved 5 times in the past 10 years, and one of those times was out of the country.

You just might be the Give-Away Queen!

I've only moved four times in the last ten years and three of them have been in Amarillo! Hopefully I'll stay put for a very, very long time.

I can't beat SPECKS up there with 10 times in 10 years . . . but I'm at 8!

Somehow we've only moved 3 times in 10 years. It seems like much more. Maybe because we aren't choosing where to go (the military does that). My address book is a minefield of crossed out and corrected addresses as many of our friends are also in the military.

In the last 10 years, I've moved 8 times, one of which was with an 11 day old baby!
