Casa de Phillips contains one Dr. of Industrial Organizational Psychology, one former special ed teacher now stay-at-home mom, one adorable preschool boy with such a zest for life he can barely sleep past 5am, and one spunky two year old girl whose birth we blogged live (that little fact will likely come back to haunt her in junior high). We all need a little bit of saving sometimes.
These turned out great! What is zazzle? I must be out of the loop, and girl, call me anytime. I would love to photograph those sweet kids! Love her dress.
Zazzle is the photo hosting site this particular company uses (who I won't name unless I do not get an adequate apology from customer service). They put the watermark on their pictures to deter people like me posting such images on their blog (or reprinting them without permission, which i have NOT done). However, I am not bothered in the least by the word "zazzle" stamped across my child's face.
As far as the dress goes, I am now totally addicted to attempting to "win" NWT smocked dresses on Ebay for dirt cheap prices. Fortunately for our bank account, people often outbid my $5.25 bid.
I'm with you on the photo shoot. Patrick always did well, but Nicholas is another story. PP will be doing our next shoot as Kiddie Kandids was too hard for us last time (and the pictures were bad, teenagers were working there and it took a long, long time). I feel bad I have neglected Nicholas in the professional picture taking department. I guess it is the second child thing.
Regardless of how miserable the photo shoot was for you, these pictures are precious! I, for one, would love to see a few slinky shots to go with your story below. What on earth was that guy thinking? Also, the bit about the old woman jumping in front of the stroller was hilarious. Why do old people continue to do such things when it always makes the kids cry? Sorry it was bad for you, but it sure was amusing to read (especially since I can relate to horrible photo shoots with my one child!).
Also, have you ever heard of esnipe.com? I assume it is cheating, but you buy "bid points," enter the item number on esnipe, and they place a bid for you in the final seconds of the Ebay auction. That way you don't have to bid your maximum price so early, and you don't have to be present at the computer during the final seconds of the auction. I bought $5 worth of "bid points" several years ago and am still using them. You might want to check it out, so you can win some more cute smocked dresses!

These pictures are GREAT!! What a CUTIE PIE! I completely agree with you about the stress of a photo session (and I have only ONE!).
Despite the fiasco experience, the pics are beautiful! She is just precious:-)
Cute pics...would have never known there was such drama involved! :)
It takes a real beauty to pull of orange that well!
